Steel Samurai Theme Song is the twelfth song in the musical.

Steel Samurai Theme Song is the opening to Act II. As the name states, it's the theme song to "The Steel Samurai"; a popular children's television series. Maya is a diehard fan of the series, though when this song actually features in the musical, it is Phoenix who is watching the show as he puzzels over its popularity. In the musical, Phoenix and Maya talk over the majority of the song.

The song is purposely written to sound like a poorly translated opening to an anime or Asian drama. However, the first couple stanzas were actually taken from the song The Samurai Always Wins, which was written first despite the fact that it features chrolonologically later. Thus, the first couple stanzas have better rhythm and wording, and don't sound as humorously stilted as the rest of the song.  

MAGISTRATE: [spoken]
Hurha! You, the Steel Samurai, have disgraced me for the last time. The moon, pale in the sky, cries out for vengeance.

STEEL SAMURAI:
Cries for vengeance? No, the pale moon cries for you! For it knows, this will be the last you see of it! See you in hell, EVIL MAGISTRATE!

ALL TOGETHER NOW:
Whhhooooooo! Grrraaaaaaaah!

ANNOUNCER:
The warrior’s swords gleam and strike in the glow of the moon. One has fallen...but who? Only the pale moon knows...
